Kinetica - Wearable glove that converts sign language to English

With an innovation grant from Rice University, I am currently building a wearable glove that converts American Sign Language (ASL) into spoken English so that deaf/mute individuals can communicate with any member of society without the need of a translator, thus empowering them.

Kinetica is a wearable glove that converts American Sign Language (ASL) to spoken English such that any deaf or mute individual can communicate with anyone else thus empowering then. For deaf and/or mute individuals who wish to communicate with people who do not speak American Sign Language and are dissatisfied with inaccessible or prohibitively expensive methods of translation, Kinetica is an accessible wearable device that provides an easy method of communication between those who use spoken language and those who are deaf and mute by translating American Sign Language to spoken English.
